About The Foundation

The Fitch EMS Foundation

The Foundation was developed to honor the 50+ year leadership development commitment of EMS Pioneer Jay Fitch, PhD, and the on-going commitment of Fitch & Associates to EMS professional development.

The non-profit Foundation has developed programs that fulfill that mandate. Our mission is to support leadership development and research efforts for emergency medical services and public safety. We promote diversity, awareness of health equity needs and improve engagement among service leaders and the communities they serve.

The Foundation’s volunteer Board includes Maria Beerman-Foat, PhD, EMS Training Coordinator for the Eugene Springfield Fire Department and NAEMT Director at Large; Scott Gordon, former Chief Operating Officer at Arkansas Children’s Hospital; and Anthony Minge, EdD, Senior Partner at Fitch & Associates. Jay Fitch, PhD, serves as the Executive Director.
